UPDATE THURSDAY 20 SEPTEMBER, 6PM.
Here is the latest information on the foot and mouth disease outbreak in GB.

Tracings on direct movements from Surrey to Scotland have been completed. There had
been three movements direct from within 50km of Pirbright between the lifting of the August
restrictions and the imposition of those in September. These tracings have been clinically
inspected and are negative for foot and mouth. Work continues on tracing indirect
movements.

A 3km Temporary Control Zone was established yesterday (19 September) near Solihull,
West Midlands and laboratory samples are awaited.
Licencing Update
A General Licence permitting the movement of susceptible animals from premises to
premises within a business, up to a maximum of 8km, came into force at noon today.
A General Licence permitting the movements of pigs along a ~pig pyramid~ for welfare
reasons, up to a maximum of 50km, or 100km if the destination holding are empty, came into
force at 1500 hrs today.
