Mitchells and Butlers response to our letter querying their choice of beef sourcing

We are pleased to report we have received a reply from Mitchells and Butlers in response to our letter querying their choice of beef sourcing.

In our opinion, it’s a fairly defensive reply which regrettably doesn’t answer some of our concerns, in particular the environmental issues we raised. Mr Urban appears to indicate that they will continue to source their beef from wherever they want, a statement which is perhaps out of touch with public opinion. It is worth noting that their online promotion seems to have been removed from social media, so perhaps they do care more than the tone of their letter indicates.
