DUNGANNON VENUE FOR NORTHERN IRELAND BEEF EXPO 2010

The National Beef Association’s Northern Ireland Council is to stage a regional beef event on Tuesday March 2nd next year.

NI Beef Expo 2010 will be held at Dungannon Farmers’ Mart, Dungannon, Co Tyrone – a site described as an ideal location, in the heart of a major beef producing area, which can be easily accessed from farms in both the north and south of the Province.

Interest in the Beef Expo from potential sponsors and exhibitors is already strong and the committee which will manage the event is also aware of the immediate proximity of two of Northern Ireland’s biggest beef factories – which could make it possible to run hoof and hook judging competitions and stage a range of carcase demonstrations too.

“The facilities at Dungannon Mart are first-class and will provide an excellent venue for such a major event for the beef industry in Northern Ireland,” promised the NBA’s regional chairman, Oisin Murnion.

The event committee plans to stage an exciting programme of activities which will include an extensive trade stand area; beef breed demonstrations, educational and advisory exhibits, practical demonstrations, competitions and a comprehensive seminar programme.
