BRITISH BLUES JOIN SEMENSTORE.CO.UK

The on-line semen company, Semenstore Ltd, has announced an agreement with the British Blue Cattle Society to market British Blue semen through its website, semenstore.co.uk, from early 2010.

Launched in January this year, Semenstore Ltd is a subsidiary company of Limousin Solutions Ltd.  The company’s on-line site, semenstore.co.uk, has to this point sold semen exclusively from approximately 70 Limousin bulls.  As from early 2010 the site will now include semen from a selection of pedigree British Blue bulls. 

Welcoming the agreement, Iain Kerr the Director of Semenstore Ltd said:  “We are delighted to have the British Blues on board.  The semenstore.co.uk aim is to provide a fully automated and comprehensive “one-stop-semen-shop” that makes it easy to market, sell, locate and buy semen.  The website has traded significantly, including exports, in its first 10 months and the addition of British Blue semen will be a further enhancement to semenstore.co.uk.”

John Fleming, Secretary of the British Blue Cattle Society said: “We’ve been impressed by the principle of the website and how straightforward it is to use.  It is professional and modern and will provide an added value service for both British Blue pedigree breeders and commercial customers.”

The site has been built flexibly and with a view to being able to incorporate other interested breeds, species and companies.  Fully automated, semenstore.co.uk enables prospective purchasers in the UK and abroad to browse, consider, and purchase semen of their choice, there and then, online.  All handling and delivery costs are included in the final price and delivery is made to the purchaser’s designated delivery address, accommodating both DIY AI and Technician services.
