NBA welcomes new Farm Modernisation Grant Scheme
The NBA Northern Ireland welcomed the news this week, following a meeting with Agriculture Minister Michelle Gildernew, of a new farm modernisation grant scheme that will give cash strapped farmers, especially those is LFA’s, the chance to improve their businesses, said NBA NI Chairman Oisin Murnion.
“Dard has developed a point system that is fair and simple and gives those most disadvantaged a good opportunity to access finance, which could really make a difference”.
The aim of the new grant scheme is to give younger farmers and those in the LFA the chance to receive adequate funding for modernisation to move their businesses forward, which they would not be able to do without the assistance of the new grant funding levels.
