FMD Update 0900 10th August 07

Suspect case at Dorking which has resulted in the Temporary Control Zone (TCZ) put in place last night. This involves calves that were sick on Thursday morning. Blood samples have gone clear so far with some inconclusive so now being rerun through lab. Calves have NOT been slaughtered.

The owner has considerable land holdings in the area. This is probably report case 49 and we still only have 2 IPs. This is NOT a panic yet, it is sensible and measured precaution.
